McMullin Harrington

The company is run by Madeleine Harrington, managing director. Madeleine has many years experience in the business world both in the UK and abroad, primarily in Japan and other Far Eastern markets. She has worked with big brand names in the interiors and design industries such as Wedgwood, Denby, Sebastian Conran, Laura Ashley, Hemingway Design, as well as many companies in other industries.

Immediately before starting McMullin Harrington was Marketing Director of British Ceramic Tile, one of the largest tile manufacturers in the UK, and is still very involved in the tile market, both working with clients and writing for one of the industry magazines.

Madeleine has a degree in Japanese and spent many years working in Japan, meaning that she can speak, read and write Japanese and has a detailed knowledge of Japanese business practices. One of the firm's core competencies is helping companies who are interested in tapping into the Japanese market evaluate the opportunities and prepare a business plan, as well as providing marketing help, cross cultural consultancy and translation and interpreting services.
